With just 2 simple ingredients, these fruit juice gummies are a fun treat to make at home! You'll just need pure fruit juice and gelatin, plus 1-2 hours for them to set to a Jello-like consistency, or overnight for a gummy consistency.
In a small pan, heat the juice until very warm but not boiling.
Turn off the heat and whisk in the gelatin until smooth.
Allow to cool slightly, then pour into silicone molds.
Refrigerate for 1-2 hours until set to a Jello-like consistency.
If you'd like a texture closer to a store-bought gummy, allow to sit out overnight, uncovered, to dry out.
Notes
Most 100% fruit juices or nectars will work here. I used white grape juice with a few drops of raspberry juice added for color, nectarine nectar, and concord grape juice for the gummies in the photos.
Pineapple, kiwi, and/or papaya will not work for this recipe.
I have not tested this recipe with homemade fruit purees and can't say whether they will work. If you test it yourself, let us know how it goes in the comments.
Any silicone mold will work for these gummies. I used a bunny shaped mold to make the gummies pictured.
Make sure your gelatin is fresh, or the gummies may not set properly.
These are only going to be as sweet as the juice you use. If you want them sweeter, add a bit of sweetener to the juice in step one.
