  • 4 ½ cups corn Chex cereal
  • 4 ½ cups rice Chex cereal
  • 2 cups mini gluten-free pretzels
  • 1 cup 1 cup mixed nuts, such as peanuts, almonds, or cashews
  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • ¼ cup gluten-free Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt

Instructions

Slow Cooker Instructions

  • In a 6-quart slow cooker, mix together the dry ingredients (corn Chex, rice Chex, pretzels and nuts).
  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat, or melt in a small microwave safe bowl. Whisk in the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
  • Pour the mixture over the cereal mixture, tossing until evenly coated.
  • Cover and cook on low for 3 hours, stirring every 15-30 minutes.
  • Remove from the slow cooker, spread in an even layer, and allow to cool completely, then serve or store.

Notes

  • Check Your Ingredients! For true gluten-free, you'll need to ensure ALL your ingredients are gf, especially the pretzels, nuts, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Note that if you have a slow cooker that doesn’t have a small vent hole in the lid, this recipe might not work well, as the condensation will drip on the mix, leaving it soggy. You can try adding a clean kitchen towel directly under the lid to catch any condensation, but do not leave the slow cooker unattended in this case.
