Made with ground turkey meat, tomato paste, ketchup, and simple spices, these slow cooker turkey sloppy joes are a crowd-pleasing dinner. Simmer in the slow cooker or make stovetop!

STEP 1:

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the onion and bell pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the turkey, sprinkle with salt & garlic powder. Stir & break up the turkey apart into small pieces with a wooden spoon. Cook through, stirring occasionally, about 3-4 minutes.

STEP 3:

Carefully transfer the turkey to a 6-quart slow cooker. Add the remaining ½ teaspoon salt, ketchup, mustard, tomato paste, and water, stirring to combine.

STEP 4:

Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours (or on low for 5-6 hours). A longer cook time will yield even more tender results!
