Taste and adjust sweetness to your liking!

If you like a thicker smoothie or are using fresh instead of frozen fruit & veggies, add ice for better texture. For a thinner consistency, add more milk. For a sweeter smoothie, add 2 teaspoons of pure maple syrup or 1-2 pitted Medjool dates.

simple ways to customize this recipe:

Make the smoothie thicker using only 1 cup milk. And make sure to use as many frozen fruits & veggies as possible to help you get that thick consistency. Once blended, pour into a bowl and add your choice of toppings - nuts, seeds, fresh fruit, granola, honey, cacao nibs or a drizzle of almond butter.

more easy ingredient swaps:

If you don’t have chia seeds, you can use flax seeds instead or you can skip them altogether. In place of pitaya, you can also use frozen strawberries. For a nut-free version, use a nut-free milk & substitute sunflower seeds for almonds.
