Using almonds instead of pine nuts, this pesto without pine nuts recipe is a more affordable yet equally delicious homemade pesto!

STEP 1:

Gather ingredients.

Mince garlic in food processor.

STEP 3:

Add basil leaves and pulse.

STEP 4:

Add almonds, parmesan, salt and pepper and pulse.

STEP 5:

Slowly add olive oil. Season to taste and serve.

Use walnuts!  Or for a nut-free version use pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds.
