honey sriracha sauce recipe

melted butter (or plant-based butter for dairy-free) honey sriracha tamari (or coconut aminos  for soy-free) rice wine vinegar  (or fresh lime juice)

Wildly addictive & incredibly easy to make, this honey sriracha sauce recipe is sweet & spicy and elevates anything you pour it on. Everything comes together in just a mason jar! Also great as a chicken marinade or to make meatballs, wings, salmon, shrimp, or for a dipping sauce.

STEP 1:

Add melted butter, honey, sriracha, coconut aminos, and vinegar to a mason jar.

Secure the lid, then shake vigorously until the sauce is well combined.  If the butter separates, gently run the lidded jar under warm water until it melts, or microwave the unlidded jar until it melts.

Taste and adjust flavors as desired. Use immediately or store covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.  Allow to come to room temperature before using on anything you like!

For soy-free, use coconut aminos in place of tamari. For dairy-free, use plant-based butter in place of traditional butter. If you prefer a thicker consistency, like for a dipping sauce, heat the sauce in a saucepan over medium low heat until it reduces by half, stirring occasionally.

To a zip-top bag or shallow baking dish, add ¾ cup honey sriracha sauce to 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or overnight. Uncover and discard the marinade before grilling!
