Today I’m sharing everything you need to know to throw a beautiful, casual real food baby shower brunch!
To make it easy, I’m breaking everything down: the simple menu, recipes, details on creating the quintessential DIY prosecco and soda water bar, the make-ahead game plan, and perfect gift basket for the mama-to-be.
Read on for all the details!
My sister is having a baby! I can’t even explain how beyond thrilled we all are to welcome a new little one into our family. And what’s more, the baby is a girl, adding to the all-girl tradition on our side of the family (I have two sisters, and a daughter, so we joke that having boys is patently unfeasible on the Conley side of the family).
The baby, Ayla, (don’t you love her name?) is due in May, so a spring shower seemed like just the thing. My sister and her husband requested the shower be coed, as well as casual and relaxed.
Given those requests, an easy-going brunch with simple, delicious food was the perfect way to go. The addition of a DIY prosecco and sparkling water bar made the casual brunch extra special.
I’m sharing menu details below, along with the recipes and game plan for make-ahead preparations. Remember, though, you don’t need to do everything yourself! Delegate as much as possible.
Consider hosting the brunch at one person’s house, assigning decorations to a second, and menu planning to a third. And don’t be afraid to divide and conquer when it comes to cooking.
Overall, you want a festive, celebratory morning to shower the mama-to-be with love and encouragement. I hope you’ll find inspiration to host your own real food brunch soon. Cheers!
